Last night we got a short preview of the new NHL season, with only 4 games on the slate. Tonight slate is much larger with 10 games to be played starting at 7pm. The three stacks that I will be talking about in this article have some favorable matchups tonight.
Columbus Blue Jackets Stack:
Panarin($7.6K)-Dubois($6.1K)-Atkinson(7K)
Columbus opens up their 2018-19 season on the road tonight in Detroit. The Red Wings blueline is banged up a little with guys like Mike Green and Niklas Kronwall starting the season on IR, forcing them to miss their home opener. I look for this 1st line to take advantage of that and post some points on the board.
Nashville Predators:
Fiala($4.6K)-Turris($5.1K)-Smith($5.1K)
Predators travel to Madison Square Garden to play their first game of the season against the Rangers. Nashville first line players will probably be heavy owned tonight in cash or GPP plays for good reasons, but their second line forwards were great last year and they will give you some salary relief if you would want to spend the money elsewhere.
Colorado Avalanche:
Landeskog($6.2k)-MacKinnon($8.5k)-Rantanen($6.9k)
Colorado starts this season on their home ice. This line last year was one of the most productive and definitely most exciting to watch at times. These three players combined produced 243 points last season. They look to do the same this season as they did last, I think it all starts tonight.
