Cole has been a top pitcher all year, and finds himself in a good spot tonight, at home against the Angels. He is the third best favorite tonight at -235 and should be a real hassle for an Angels lineup that features mainly right handed batters. We have seen higher salaries than $10,800 for Cole this year, so I don’t mind spending up on him across all formats.
I mentioned above that Cole was the third best favorite tonight, well, Sabathia is the best favorite of tonight. CC comes into this one with a great matchup against the Orioles and finds himself sitting pretty at a -330 favorite. CC hasn’t particularly pitched well over the past couple of weeks, but this is the matchup to bounce back and reach his value. The Yankees bats should put up a crooked number tonight for CC and as long as he can go 5 innings, he should breeze into this W. At $7,500, Sabathia makes for a strong play for any format tonight on FanDuel.
Greinke is in a good spot as a GPP play tonight. He has been a bit too inconsistent for me to want to roster him in cash games, but he makes for a viable option in tournaments. He presents great upside as a pitcher who can get double digit strikeouts on any given night. The Rockies bats are coming off of a tough series against the Dodgers, so Greinke may catch them at the right time. Grienke is a -120 favorite tonight while being featured in the lowest projected game total of the night at 7. If Zack gets going early, he could mow these right-handed Rockies batters down at a low ownership in tournaments.
Hill is in arguably the best spot tonight as far as pitchers go. He is the second biggest favorite of the slate at -280 and is in a favorable matchup against the Padres. With Hill being a heavy strikeout pitcher, he could rack up the fantasy points tonight while having a good chance at the win. Getting him through 6 for a quality start is a bit of a stretch, but that shouldn’t matter as he should still easily reach value at a fair price of $9,200 tonight.
