Point Guards

Darren Collison ($5,500) – Collison got an extended amount of run the last few weeks with Lawson out. Lawson returns tonight, but with Cousins now a Pelican, its hard to deny that Collison is the teams new #1 option. His price is still decent and I fully expect the kings to give him a giant workload.

Jameer Nelson ($5,600) – Nelson may be a bit more than any of us thought he would be at this point in the season, but the man is proving why. He’s consistently been getting 30+ minutes and 30+ fantasy points a game. With Mudiay finally returning to the Nuggets tonight, some of that production may go down. But keep in mind Michael Malone is happy with Nelson’s production and stated he’s their starting PG from here on out.

Kyrie Irving ($9,000) – Kyrie is a bit pricey tonight, but for good reason. He’s been just about as consistent as you can be, having scored at least 40 fantasy points in 4 of his last 5. With love out, Kyrie has seen an increase in usage and I fully expect that to continue tonight as he gets a good matchup against the Knicks.

Shooting Guards

Buddy Hield ($3,500) – Hield may be more of a GPP punt play until we see how he fits in with the Kings and their game plan, bt he’s as cheap as you can get and I the Kings feel he’s the “next Stephen Curry.” With that in mind, he’s probably going to get a lot of minutes right of the bat. He’s an intriguing play tonight against the Nuggets.

James Harden ($12,600) – There’s no Westbrook tonight so Harden is the big name on the slate. He’s got a great matchup against the Pelicans who are in the bottom half of defending against the guard positions. With the new acquisition of Boogie I expect the Pelicans to come out highly competitive and motivated. Should be an up-tempo game in which the Rockets rely heavily on Harden. If you have the money, reach up for him.

Gary Harris ($5,200) – With all the Nuggets rumored to be back and healthy tonight, it’s risky to start any of them. However, Harris is in the right price range and we know the minutes are going to be there for him, making him less high-risk. If you’re going to roll the dice on someone from their backcourt, Harris is your guy.

Small Forwards

Aaron Gordon ($4,500) – With last week’s Ibaka trade Gordon is now free to play in his natural position, power forward. Fanduel still has him listed as a SF, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that he’s going to be the teams PF from here on out, with a matchup against the Blazers who are in the bottom 3 defending the position. I fully expect Gordon to have a good game.

Jeff Green ($3,600) – Jeff Green was also an immediate beneficiary from the Ibaka trade. In the first game without him Green saw 35 minutes of court time. He didn’t do anything crazy with the extra usage having only posted 17.6 fantasy points. If you wanted a stack for tonight, these two Orlando guys are intriguing against a weak Portland defense.

Kevin Durant ($10,300) – When the Warriors faced off against the Clippers in early February Durant went off for 26/8/10. That game remained fairly close, and if the Clippers can keep this one close yet again, expect Durant to see his usual run time and be worth his $10,300 price tag.

Power Forwards

Blake Griffin ($9,700) – Griffin is back into the full swing of things, scoring at least 50 fantasy points in 3 of his last 5 games. The minutes are there for him since his return from an injury and Chris Paul has already been ruled out again tonight. The offense is essentially run through Griffin when that is the case and he gets a decent matchup tonight against the Warriors.

Nikola Jokic ($10.900) –Jokic potentially has the best matchup tonight as he goes up against a Kings team that basically has no one to defend him. That being said, any game against the kings now has huge blowout potential. For his price he’s a bit risky, but if the Kings can keep it close, I think Jokic is in store for a huge game.

Cauley-Stein ($3,800) – With the departure of DeMarcus Cousins the future is very bright for Willie Cauley-Stein. He’s going to be asked to take on more minutes and a much larger role with Boogie now gone, and with his price still low, he’s a steal tonight against the Nuggets.

Centers

Andre Drummond ($8,300) – Drummond gets a great matchup tonight against Charlotte who aren’t great against the center and are without Zeller, forcing Frank Kaminsky to be the main guy guarding him. He hasn’t reached his price tag over the last few games but tonight could be the night to roll with Drummond.

Nikola Vucevic ($7,200) – Vucevic has been relatively consistent over his last 5 games, posting at least 40 fantasy points in 3 of those 5. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against Portland, who are in the bottom 10 in defending against the center.

Tristan Thompson ($6,300) – Thompson has stepped up lately with Love sidelined. He’s been extremely consistent throughout all of Feburary and has a great matchup tonight against the Knicks. If you’re looking for a middle-priced center I would recommend Thompson.
