5-7-16 Slugger of the Day

I’m looking to target Hellickson tonight with the hot hitting Christian Yelich. Yelich is batting .280 in his last 10 games including 3 homeruns in his last 4 games. Hellickson has as only been a pitcher to pick against in DFS and that’s exactly what I’m doing tonight. Yelich bats in the meat of that Miami batting order and should be able to produce at a very affordable price of $3,500 tonight.

5-6-16 Slugger of the Day

A rough night for Realmuto last night but that’s baseball for ya. Hopping back on the train tonight where I’m going to be riding on Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox. Betts is a 5 tool player and can get you points in any way imaginable in DFS. He has hits in 8 of his last 10 games and draws a favorable matchup tonight against Pineda who has a 6.33 ERA so far this year. I don’t see that ERA shrinking too much at the little league field of Yankee Stadium tonight against the slugging Red Sox. Betts is batting 5 for 15 off of Pineda with 2 doubles and 2 home-runs. Expect Betts to easily get 4 maybe 5 at-bats tonight and find multiple ways to get on base. Take advantage of Betts being below the 4K salary mark on FanDuel tonight.

There have been plenty of guys who have been hot the last week or so, but no one has been as hot as J.T Realmuto. Realmuto is still at a very cheap price of $3,000 on FanDuel and is batting .463 in his last 10 games with 6 of those games being multi-hit games. I can’t really remember the last catcher to be a lead off hitter, but it seems to be working wonders for Realmuto and the Marlins. With a lefty like Robbie Ray on the mound tonight, Realmuto should be able to feast and keep the fire under him burning. Also, the Marlins are a righty hitting powerhouse and will have plenty of chances to drive in Realmuto when he gets on base. Don’t be afraid to pick other guys on the Marlins tonight other than J.T Realmuto.

5-3-16 Slugger of the Day

Is it really a surprise that I’m rolling with one of the Mets today? They have been extremely hot offensively and have done nothing but keep that going against the embarrassing Braves pitching staff. I think Cespedes has a very good chance of hitting another homer tonight against Matt Wisler who sports a 4.26 ERA. Cespedes is batting .297 in his last 10 games with 9 extra base hits including 5 homeruns. The Mets are coming into this one with a lot of swag offensively and should be able to put a crooked number on that scoreboard. Sit back and watch Cespedes rake tonight.

Pence should be in for a nice game tonight against Brandon Finnegan and the Reds. Finnegan is one of the lowest priced pitchers on FanDuel, meaning that he’s projected to get hit around tonight. Pence is batting .382 in his last 10 games with 7 extra base hits ( 3 doubles, 3 HR’s, 1 triple). He has been hot as of late and can do anything offensively whether it’s stealing bases or hitting for power. I think that he is too good of a player to be priced under $4,000 and I feel that he won’t be very highly owned tonight. Pence should be able to produce for your lineup tonight and put you in a good spot to win some cash.

4-29-16 Slugger of the Day

Ryan Braun is my slugger of the day facing Adam Conley of the Miami Marlins. Braun has been hot as of late, batting .466 in his last 9 games with 2 HR’s and 3 doubles. Braun is a lefty masher and is 4-5 against Conley in his career. Also, he’s at home where he bats a cool .350 at a field where the ball seems to fly out of the park. Braun is a tad expensive on Fanduel, but he’s worth it tonight. Expect Braun to put up a satisfying number.

Travis Shaw is my slugger for tonight’s slate. At a $3,000 salary price, he’s one of the top value guys out there. He’s hitting .333 in his last 10 games and has shown that he can hit the ball anywhere in the ballpark especially at Fenway Park. With the Red Sox putting up boat loads of runs lately and guys being on base left and right, Shaw should be able to find himself in that mix of production once again tonight. Can you say “Bye Panda”?
