6-1-16 Slugger of the Day

Screen Shot 2016-06-01 at 4.46.26 PM

We are starting off June with a bit of a wild card slugger in Giancarlo Stanton today but I’m confident for a couple of reasons. Stanton has been pretty bad this year and unlike his normal self, however, reports say that his side was bothering him and leading to his poor play. He just recently got off of the DL and is looking to bring his surging numbers back to the table. What a great way to regain that confidence by facing a guy like Jon Niese at home where he is batting 12-29 against him with FOUR homers. If Stanton is going to get back to his old self, it’s tonight. This game also draws my attention with an 8.5 total which predicts a high scoring game. Stanton is at a cheap $3,500 tonight and can easily power up a homerun for your fantasy squad. Lock him in and watch him get back on track.

Altuve was a big success and we will look to keep the slugger rolling tonight. I’m going with Matt Carpenter of the Cardinals with a fantastic matchup tonight against Wily Peralta. Carpenter is starting to come into form, having a 4-5 performance last game. His numbers are very impressive against Wily Peralta, batting 16-35 against him with 7 RBI’s and 3 HR’s. This game has a high total of 9, predicting that the Cardinals should be able to light up Peralta tonight at the friendly hitting Milwaukee ballpark. I expect Carpenter to be leading the crew in scoring seeing as he is leading off for the Cards and will be getting around the bases. Expect Carpenter to score a couple runs and get an extra base hit for you tonight. Lock him in at a very affordable price of $3,500.

5-30-16 Slugger of the Day

Same idea today as Donaldson, only this time it’s with Altuve. He is priced under $4,000 due to his recent slump, but he is too good of a hitter to be this cheap. Especially, against an inexperienced lefty in Arizona. Arizona is a great hitters ballpark and the o/u is 9. Altuve is coming off of a 4-6 performance leaving his recent slump behind. Altuve will be coming into this one fresh, trying to pick up a slacking Astros team. Expect Altuve to be overlooked today, but produce great numbers for you. He will be all over the bases today and will score you a couple runs. Lock him in at a very affordable price today.

5-28-16 Slugger of the Day

Last night was unreal with Donaldson, as he put up 57 fantasy points. That’s a number you usually only see for NBA FanDuel! Lets stay hot and roll with Nomar Mazara tonight against Nicasio of the Pirates. Mazara has been very hot as of late and has an average on the year in the .320’s. His name is becoming very well-known this season and looks to be a valuable asset for the Rangers team for years to come. The ball should be carrying tonight at a hot Arlington Park with an o/u of 8.5. Mazara provides good power in the middle of that Rangers lineup and look for him to do some damage tonight.

5-27-16 Slugger of the Day

Tonight I’m going with a guy who has dropped in price dramatically due to his recent slump. I’m rolling with the reigning MVP in Josh Donaldson. I feel that he will be lower owned than he should be tonight because he has been cold but, tonight is the perfect opportunity to break out of this spell and really show us what he is capable of. He draws a fantastic matchup at home against Joe Kelly of the Red Sox. There are a couple of reasons why I like Donaldson tonight. First and foremost, he is 9-17 off Kelly with a home-run and 6 RBI’s. Secondly, he is extremely cheap for his superstar ability. Thirdly, he is facing a very competitive Red Sox team which is in their division, so his competitive drive will be there. Lastly, he’s at home. The fans will be supportive and Toronto is an excellent ballpark to hit in. Confidently lock Donaldson in tonight, taking advantage of his cheap price tag.

Pujols came up big yesterday with a 2 run home-run at only 5% owned. Lets keep this slugger hot and role with Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox. Mookie has been unbelievable as of late and is posed for a big game tonight with a great matchup against Jorge De La Rosa at Fenway Park who is coming right off of the DL. De La Rosa had command issues on his rehab assignment in AAA and those command issues will most likely continue considering the fact that he is going to be pitching at arguably the hardest ballparks to pitch at from a mental standpoint and a field dimension standpoint. I expect the Red Sox to knock De La Rosa all over the place tonight and Mookie will most likely be the center of attention to all of it. He will most likely get 5 at-bats tonight from the lead off spot. Betts is 16 for his last 44 (.364) spanning over10 games, including doubles in 4 straight games with 3 home-runs mixed into those games as well. Expect Mookie to be all over the bases tonight.
